On the southern end of DeBordieu Beach in South Carolina, the waves are winning the battle and taking ground from houses built close to the water. This image depicts a moment in that process as the surf pounds the waterfront walkways, stairs, and sea wall. Original photo, edited for painterly effect.
About Deborah Smith
Deborah is a photographer and painter living in historic Georgetown, South Carolina. Her inspiration comes from literature, fine arts, and the natural world.
